Maylene has 20-year experience in various executive and senior management positions in both corporate and government sectors in Canada and South Africa.

Her current position is Chief Director: Enterprise Development and Transformation at the National Department of Tourism. Her portfolio includes Domestic Tourism, Enterprise Development, Sector Transformation, and Responsible Tourism.

We discuss her cross-cultural life and work experiences, diversity and belonging, female leadership, as well as transformation of South African tourism sector.
